PRESENTATIONS
Steve currently has four presentations available. Steve’s style is relaxed and informal, with plenty of anecdotes, humour and audience participation. He also brings along his large format camera equipment, which always generates plenty of interest and discussion. The presentations are not
only suitable for photographic societies,
but will also be of interest to other
groups with a passion for the
landscape.
The presentations available
currently include;
-
F32, and be there
early.
Supported by Steve’s famous ‘Big Box of Prints’, in this presentation Steve discusses his approach to landscape
photography, his use of large format cameras, and the technical and aesthetic qualities of the images. As the discussion usually centres on new images produced in the previous twelve months this talk has become an annual event with a number of clubs.
-
Planning for better
landscapes.
Again supported by stunning prints, this presentation introduces some ideas and methods designed to improve the photographer’s chances of being in the right place at the right time.
.
-
Private Views of
Snowdonia.
This presentation details the production of Steve’s successful book Private Views of Snowdonia. Supported by stunning prints of images in the book, Steve discusses the ins and outs of publishing, as well as the technical and aesthetic qualities of the images.
-
An Introduction to Large Format Photography.
A keen advocate and experienced user of large format (LF) cameras, Steve brings that enthusiasm and experience to this presentation. The first half looks at the basics of LF equipment, including buying and using. In the second half, Steve shows some of his work which highlights the use of LF equipment.
